Drawing since childhood, Sunshine Sam went to University for Fine Arts then shortly after, found an apprenticeship in Edmonton, AB. She spent the next ten years tattooing full-time at a variety of shops and at local and international tattoo conventions. After a few years of time off to spend with her family and travel more, Sam now lives on an acreage overflowing with animals outside of Grande Prairie where she paints, hikes, trains her horses, and tends to fruit trees. 

Sam prides herself on working with her clients with thorough communication to ensure the final tattoo design is perfect for them. Sam is very easy going and genuinely loves art and people. Her tattoo style is mainly realism: either black and grey work or full color, and on a larger scale-usually full sleeves or leg pieces. She is very experienced with coverups-even large and heavy work-in fact, many of the tattoos in her portfolio are coverup pieces!
